Deep
in the heart of Daydreams lives a race of sweet little
fairies. I call them Dreamlings. No one knows their age. It
is hard to distinguish. Their eyes show the wisdom that is
gained by age, but their hearts are light and free and they
flit around and play like small children without a care.
Dreamlings have two similar physical characteristics but
their skin tone differs from fairy to fairy according to
where they live and includes every color imaginable. The
characteristic that they have most in common is their large
eyes. The second characteristic and the one that gives them
some what of a comical look are their buck teeth. I am lucky
to have found several of these creatures living in my
daydreams. They seek refuge with those they know they can
trust and easily adapt to anyone’s Daydreams. They will
bring a smile to the lips, joy to the heart and many years
of blessings to those who give them a loving home.
Ebony
#1 in the Dreamlings Series
Ebony lives in the darker shadows of daydreams. She lives
there so that she might bring some light and laughter into
that forlorn place. She has her teddy bear for comfort and
companionship but is always willing to share him with others
that feel alone in the dark. If you see a beam of light
shining in the darkness, it most certainly will be the light
from Ebony’s eyes.
Ebony is sculpted out of a strong mixture of Premo polymer
clay and Mix Quick. She has a head armature made out of
Sculpey UltraLight clay. There are wire armatures in her
arms and legs. She has a “beanbag” body that is filled with
plastic pellets and fiber fill. Her head turns, her arms and
legs are jointed at the shoulders and hips to allow
movement. Her features are painted with Genesis heat set
paints. Her body is washed with the same. Ears and wings are
painted leather. The wings are detachable. She has amber
glass teddy bear eyes, synthetic wig, and eyelashes. She is
16 inches long from head to toe (18 inches including ears).
She is ? inches sitting. She is dressed in her cut off
pajamas and comes with her tan teddy bear.
